Getting ready for the Leicester marathon

Leicester Triathlon club is a growing club based in the heart of Leicester. With over 230 members and a junior club, we can provide advice, support and encouragement to anyone wanting to train and complete in the sport of triathlon. As well as a busy training and racing schedule the club is a very sociable group. A lot of our training sessions end with an informal social gathering in a bar or cafe where you can talk and relax with other club members. As the club has a thriving junior club it has members from 8 years of age up to veterans completing who are over 60 years of age. With this diverse age group we make everyone welcome from the younger to the more mature.

We train through both the racing season and also in the winter months. Our full range of training sessions include two weekly coached swim session based at Braunstone Leisure Centre and Enderby Leisure centre, structured run sessions at Saffron Lane Track, to pilates and spin sessions. During the summer months there are also two open water sessions available to members at Watermead Country Park. For more information about all of our training sessions please visit our Training pages.

Our members are a diverse group of all ages that have a range of abilities from novices to individuals who have completed multiple Ironman distance events.

All our coaches are trained by the Triathlon England (TE).  The club is committed to providing a range of qualified coaches who are proactive in encouraging members to progress into coaching. Our coaches range from TE level 1 to level 3, with years of experience and knowledge.
